More than 1000 women of the church attended the 9th Annual LA
Focus High Tea More than 1000 women turned out for the 9th Annual LA
Focus Magazine First Ladies High Tea at the Hyatt Regency
Century Plaza Hotel last week to honor the 1st Ladies of some of the
most noted congregations in the country. Wendy Rachel Robinson,
actress and star of CW's new series "The Game", was on
hand as the event host ushering in the flavor and comedic tone that
her fans have cherished since her tenure as high school principal
Regina Grier on the WB hit series "The Steve Harvey Show".
Donna Vinci added fanfare and a touch of fashionable class to
the event as the sponsor of the coveted fashion show. All eyes were
on designs from all five of Donna Vinci's collections. Celebrities
like Singer Kelly Price
and "Divorce Court" Judge Mablean Ephraim
commented that they were fans of the line and have been
customers for years.
Photographers from Jet, Ebony, and
Upscale Magazines and Wire Image are a small sampling of the media
that turned out to capture celebrities and the runway models as they
sashayed down the catwalk in DVC Exclusive and Donna Vinci
designs. Wendy Rachel Robinson adorned a Donna Vinci
Exclusive
Black Rhinestone full brim hat during the entire presentation,
leaving an indelible imprint in the minds of many on hand.
Actress and Pastor Della Reese was honored with the "LA Focus
Legacy Award" for her many contributions as an actress and minister.
Tisha Campbell was on hand and presented her best friend
Tachina Arnold, star of "Everybody Hates Chris"
(featured in image above with Danny Golshan, Donna Vinci CEO),
with the coveted "Sprit Award". And the "LA Focus Award" went to
Entrepreneur and PR Guru Pat Tobin of the Tobin & Associates for her
tireless contributions as a business woman for more than 26 years.
Singers Kelly Price, Vanessa Bell Armstrong
and Kurt Carr performed during the event and brought down
the house with inspiring songs from upcoming and previous albums.
And a hat auction was hosted by Singer Shanice Wilson with proceeds
benefiting a local foundation.
A staple for more than 25
